37 || "Tree-Mother" at Woodruff Library
“Tree Mother” is an 18 foot tall painted concrete totemic sculpture in front of the Robert W. Woodruff Library, a prominent building used by all AUC campuses. The artwork is encased by an outer cape inscribed with symbols and patterns from the ancient African Ge-ez language and other Semitic language clusters. The artist was chosen through CODA’s nationwide Call for Artists initiative.
